In the heart of London,
with London on its heart

Sunday Morning

Our main worship gathering as a parish church is every Sunday morning from 10.30 til 11.45. There is singing and Bible reading, an engaging and relevant sermon, prayers and Holy Communion, pots of fresh, hot coffee and a very warm welcome.

Children are offered their own special time of teaching, discussion and crafts.

Every first Sunday of the month, the worship service is followed by a “bring and share” lunch.

Broken Beauty

Saint George the Martyr church, Queen Square, first opened its doors for worship and community support in 1706. It was designated a parish church in its own right in 1723: for over three hundred years the church
has been a beating heart of integrity and compassion for local residents and commuting workers, not to mention the countless local educational
and healthcare institutions and business enterprises….

Midweek Services

A short infomal service with a Bible-based talk and contemporary worship. A chance to pause in the week to encounter God and build a local community.

Come when you can. Leave when you must.

The Remissio Gallery

We would love to invite you to ‘The Remissio Gallery’, open Tuesday-Wednesday 10am to 2pm. From Friday 13th September, during term time, we will also be open 12.30pm to 4.30pm.

The word “remissio” is Latin for “rest, healing, forgiveness”. It was chosen as it sums up perfectly our heart behind opening the doors of the church: that this beautiful space at the heart of bustling London would be an oasis of refreshment for the tired and weary. Because we all get tired and weary, and we all need free tea and cake!
